Our beautiful cover is proof: winter is certainly not a season lacking in colour. Sure, the cold and the distant idea – but only in terms of time – of summer holidays seem to offer an unclear image, nearly faded, of many lands. And yet, even in front of a picture that seems so clear, its substance is made of other stuff. Tuscany, in the coldest months of the year, offers startling views, alluring places and beauties just waiting to be revealed. And this is also why our magazine presents itself – on the eve of the Christmas holidays – with contents offering useful suggestions for short breaks away. Right from the photos and texts, our editorial staff has worked hard to offer a cross section able to convince visitors; to understand, straight from the pictures, that a wintry Tuscany is no less than the summery one; that opportunities to go away on trips are truly many, all extremely interesting and unique; that the desire to discover something original and unexpected can even start from the pages of a magazine like Toscana&Chianti. In this context, amongst oddities and discoveries, our region’s season’s greetings take on an even more precious value.
